8470488Did you know that your expensive job postings reaches a very very small target group called active candidates. And, active candidates are either employed or unemployed job seekers that are searching a new opportunity.

Let’s take a look at what the Bureau of Labor and Statistics about job seekers in general.

  • 32% passively looking
  • 34% not looking
  • 20% casually looking
  • 14% actively looking

A Job posting is targeting only 14%.Furthermore, active job seekers that apply to job postings may not be a fit.

So, what about the other 86% of job seekers?

This is where a proactive search is needed. Skilled recruiters and sourcers  find candidates that can’t be found on popular resume search sites like Monster.com and Careebuilder.com. Using networking sites, social media, and advanced Boolean search strings are just some of the few methods recruiters tap into hidden talent.  Qualifying and then screening of each candidate, is just the beginning part of the recruiting process so that the best candidates are matched to current or future job needs.
